Hi I recently saw footage of the UK Big Brother in news claims that Shilpa Shetty (Indian Actress) is being a victim of racism.
Personally I think there is some basis for that claim, However, I think it stems more from jealousy than anything else.....the other female housemates look like ugly, old, druggie sort of hags while Shilpa Shetty looks like the (indian) beauty she is:)
More power to her and hope she can weather this...What say you?:D lol

When you mimic someone's accent, put down the way their food is cooked, ask them to go back to their country, calling them a dog, it is obvious racism. I am amazed that channel 4 calls it "cultural clash" and "girl rivalry". Are these new euphemisms for racism?

Jade isn’t racist, she is just angry at Shilpa because she blames her for her mother downfall.
She believes the public wanted her mom out because of all the arguments she was having with Shilpa, and they also blame Shilpa for Carol demise. On several occasions, Jade tried to be friendly towards Shilpa, but nothing bared fruit. The people in there who are racist are Danielle and Jo, they say nasty things about the Shilpa, and all the racist attitudes come from them. Danielle is very manipulative, she tries to make conversation with Shilpa and then she reports back to Jade and Jo, making the conversation sound worse than it was. The media is despicable, they hate the way that Jade got famous and they are trying to stick all kind of mud on her. I challenge anyone to find one racist comment, mockery or attitude that Jade had towards Shilpa. I am hoping Shilpa win, but I think Jade is getting the blame for the other two behaviour it should be on Danielle and Jo

Yep, i think it is racism. When Shilpa had bleach on her face danielle allegedly said 'she wants to be white...shes a dog'. Jacks a scumbag and called her a 'p***' whilst in bed with the pig and last night danielle said she thought that shilpa 'needs to **** off back home'. And there are viewers who think this isn't racism...so explain to me ...what is???
I used to like Jade but i reckon she's a bully, not a racist. I think Danielle is the biggest racist, followed by Jack and Jo. They've victimised Shilpa but she's too sweet to realise that it's racism although she's getting an inkling from last nights show. If she truly knew what they say about her behind her back, she would not keep trying to make an effort with them.

I 100% agree with you, I dont think that this bullying stems from racism but more out of jealousy and inadequacy (spelt right??) more than anything. They are sniping at her about things that are trivial and this just shows how far they will go to try and undermime her. They 3 of them are dimwits with the IQ of a tom cat and a mouth to match. Its a shame as I used to like Jade, but she has shown her true colours and embarresed the nation with her vindictiveness.
And yeah Shelpa looks graceful and elegant 24/7 while the rest of them you would expect to meet lying in the gutter after the clubs and kebab.

Yes, it is sheer jealousy.....and because of it, racism has shown its head up. They are uglier in mind which every viewer of the channel has seen. Shilpa, don't worry, you have not done any thing wrong. Won't you remember: Nothing will happen to the elephant, if the dogs bark at it.

i think i would agree with on that one, even though shilpa can be a bit annoying and busy, she is the prettiest in the house and quite the centre of attention of most guys. however i dont really think its racism to be honest bcos no one really made a racist remark apart from eating food from hands thing,.
i think they are being really unfair and mean to shilpa and is really unfair on her, as she has to adjust fr a totally different culture.
