It's nothing to worry about, slight spotting before your period is normal even if your on the pill, but if your that worried I would phone NHS Direct (0845 4647), and they will be able to reasure as well.

Hi - I had Microgynon for about a year and I was CR@P at taking it at the same time! Seriously! Id take most in the monirng, but at least 3 times a month Id forget and have to take it in the eve. I never got pregnant tho, nor any advserse effects at all, the periods were clockwork. Id say dont worry, its only 1 pill and it takes a long time for the pill to get out of your system. HOWEVER, as this isnt normal for you can I suggest you at least call NHS Direct and run it past them, see what they think? I seriously doubt youre PG or anything like that tho, as Iike I said the pill stays in your system for ages. Bxx

I've been taking microgynon for about 8 months and I've noticed a little bit of bleeding before my periods or if I take my pills at different times. They should fully protect you from getting pregnant because they stop you from ovulating and this can cause you to have a lining that is thinner than normal, cos I've noticed that my periods got much lighter, if you don't get your period take a pregnancy test or see your doctor.

Is this the first time you have taken the pill for three months in a row? It could just be spotting because of the length of time without a break, I get this sometimes and my doctor advised me that its nothing to worry about.
Monitor the situation and if it happens again, consult your doctor

I don't want to worry you anymore but go see a doctor as I was taking microgynon years ago and I fell pregnant when I was taking them as far as I was aware they were taken off the market. try other forms of contraception like the deprovera jag lasts for 3 months or the marina coil that lasts for 5 years your best advise would be to consult your GP and local family planning clinic for professional advice on what's best for you. Good luck.

I'd go and see your doctor. Your body's probably a bit messed up at the mo, and it'll be something or nothing. But if I were you, I'd go and have it checked out just to be on the safe side!!
Good luck :-) xx
