It depends on what you consider too much. Some people think any is too much. But if you're referring to the whole nine yards then I would say keep it occasional. Say you put all your makeup on everyday and no one ever sees you without it. No one would recognize you without your makeup! This could be devasting to a guy you're dating if he's used to seeing you only in makeup. You could turn out looking totally different and he would run the other way. It could happen.

Hi. Too much make up usually means wrong make up. Many artist wear a ton of make up and it looks natural. The goal of make up is to bring out your natural beauty and not cover it up. I watch two programs that are very good. That is "What not to wear, and 10 years younger." They each give great tips on make up and cloths. The most important step is a great skin care program. If you have that then you won't need to cover up problems. If you have great skin, then the transparent look is always in.

For me, I don't use foundation. I did when I was younger, but that is heavy on the face. If you need it to balance out the color in your face, then use it in the places where you need it. I only use it under my eyes and in the t-zone area. Other than that, I just dust a loose powder on my face now (only ONE time daily), and I use a blush to coordinate with what I'm wearing for the day. I only dust the blush on as well. I never want my cheeks to walk in the room before I do. As for the eye make-up, it depends on the shape and color of your eyes. I hate the black eyeliner, dark eye shadow look. I never use black anything on my eyes. I use the brown/black color of mascara, but that's the closest thing I get to black!
Keep it simple. Don't ever overdo anything on your face. Work with what you naturally have. That's what make-up should be used for...accenting the natural features of the face. It's not supposed to be used to transform your face into something it's not.

Too much if your skin looks like a Chinese Opera Mask, if your eyes look like two sunken black holes or your eyelashes look like two spiders are sitting on your cheeks. Too much if your face cracks when you smile - too much if your mouth looks like you just sucked blood out of your boyfriend's neck. Too much makeup is never okay unless you are going to a fancy dress party. Day time makeup should look like you are not wearing any and night time makeup can be a little more dramatic but not dracula! The purpose of makeup is not to adorn - but to enhance. If you remember that simple rule - you can't go wrong.
Happy make-upping!!

i dont wear make up at all.
ocassionally i use lipstic but natural colour.
one thing nice about not using much make up is that you can preserve your skin fresh, and you will be looks like younger than your age.
try to use make ups occasionally and if you really cannot avoid atleast use make up which look very natural at day time, just to make your pale skin glowing, and lil bit darker at night specially when you go party but you can still consider it not too much.
everytime a saw a woman with lots of make up,i want to think that shes covering something or shes not a real she.

To much makeup is when it makes you look like a clown, You wanna go for a more natural look. Use just enough eyeliner to make your eyes pop, use a pinkish tone when using blush, and if you like mascara, use a little just to lift the lashes.

when in the morning you go to school or work with foundation on, concealer, mascara, eyeliner, eye-pencil, eye shadow, blush and lipstick! that is way too much! its like a party makeup or a wedding makeup!
but on average days you should were mascara alone or with liquid eyeliner over the eyelids that is more then enough!
if you have dark circles under your eyes use concealer to give a fresh look, and mascara to brighten the eye, light blush and sheer lip-gloss or a slightly tented one!
that will make you look good, fresh and not overly done!
Good luck honey!
