What age were they when you realized that youve got a lil knucklehead on your hands lol?

My youngest, when 4, came to me to confess he had broken something of mine. He gives a lot of minor details leading up to the actual confession and then says (with this little lisp) "and my brain went out of control, and I didn't know what I was doing" I am trying to be serious b/c I know it was hard for him to confess, but I lost it. Neither of my kids "do" much funny stuff. But they constantly keep me laughing with their dialog.

I phoned home once and my 6 yo answered with "Receiving telemetry." I was stunned that he could even pronounce 'telemetry', let alone use the phrase in context.

Once my father in law asked my daughter to bring a lighter to light cigarette,my daughter gave him a lighter with which one can light the gas stove,so my father in law told her that its not possible to light a cigarette the she answered how can be it possible when mom can light a gas stove with this lighter how can u not able to light a cigarette.

My 4 year old had crumbs down his pants at the table. My wife stands him on the chair, pulls down his pants, and brushes the crumbs from his butt. My son says, "While you're down there, will you do me a favor and scratch?"
