Why do they think they are always right, think that they can rule the world and attack anywhere they please, why are they so loud and full of themselves and why cant they mind their own business.

When answering this say where you are from

Also if u like the american government watch Loose Change - download from limewire or somewhere - shows how they planned or at least knew about the sept. 11 attacks

I didnt say all americans are like that but from almost every american i have met or seen (not in news or tv...) they are just all so loud and full of themselves and they think they can do anything they want. There are some nice americans who arent like that but from all americans i see i would think that most would be like that - and its them that make america look bad.

And to the guy said that america can atack anyone they want - why dont u think of ways to defend urselves better instead of being so paranoid. One day you will be invading and ruinging so many countries that you will have almost no army in ur country - allowing anyone to attack easily. If you defend your country well then you have a better chance of not being attacked. Every time you attack and mess up a country it just gives more countries another reason to hate you.

And to the person that said i put this up twice - it was coz the internet froze and didnt show it had been put up - so u can go f@*k urself.

gemwi - u said that people think the British all have bucked teeth and speak like the Queen - but as far as i know that is only the americans who think that. And maybe not everyone thinks that but it just shows they are ignorant. And i am not ignorant - just incase u were about to say so - coz i have met some americans who arent loud etc.. but the majority of them are that way. especially american tourists. And also a lot of americans dont even know simple geography - they cant think of anything outside their country.

You should have stated your own nationality, and the US is not America.
I'm Irish and have recently started to detest all US citizens on suspicion. I know that's irrational, and there are decent ones among them, but seeing those people here clapping to Bush and his gang, looking down on everybody else because their countries have not the military power they have, whilst being barely civilized themselves, really gets my goat.
It's not as if they have anything else to be proud of:
their education system produces the highest number of illiterate people to leave school of all "developed" countries, their social practices leave people to die by the side of the road if they don't have money, they shoot each other in their thousands, but still think everybody should be entitled to have a gun, their politicians are corrupt and everybody knows it, but nobody does anything...

But They are the greatest in their own minds. The most hateful thing is that this belief is shared by many Europeans, including my own gouvernment.

As to why - don't people like to believe in the positive messages about themselves and their country, especially if they never get to hear any other opinion, or if they do, those are the words of "commies" and "terrorists", or just the voice of envy.
Why do you think they are keeping Al Jazeera of their airwaves?

I don't think it's the American people, it's their government you have the problem with. I know for sure that you will get everybody saying that you are generalising. There are over 300 million people living in the US so to say that they are all loud an full of themselves is an overstatement. People think the British all have bucked teeth and speak like the Queen but I certainly don't. I don't think they would ever plan a terrorist attack on their own country either, maybe they did know a little bit, but they would never plan that. I have a really good American friend and she's lovely and so funny. I just don't like the person that represents them, Bush. They just need to make a better decision with their leader next time! Oh and so do we lol.
I'm from uk

Ha ha, what a mint question. Reading some of the answers proves that Americans have no sense of humour, and you can't tell them anything-they just won't listen! I know this because I had an American boss. she laughed at anything SHE said, but nobody else ever did. I'd rather not think about whether 9/11 could have been prevented or not. Also I do like 2 things about America-Universal Studios and Taco Bell. can't think of anything else though. I'm from north east England (weren't Newcastle unbelievably bad in the FA cup last night?) and I think G W Bush is the worst president in history. Cheers for the question, very thought-provoking!

You are putting a stigma on an entire nation of people just because you don't agree with our leaders. Don't decide that all Americans have to be right. I am wrong a lot of the time and apologize when I'm wrong. I hate that you feel that way just because, you don't like the people who run the government. I wish I could change your mind but, I'm sure there isn't anything I could say or do to show you that most of us are just average ordinary people who are just trying to live in this world with everyone else. We don't all think we are right, we just need to insure our freedom.

Maybe I should judge English by watching Jade Goody and judge Iraqis by Saddam Hussein and judge Germans by Adolf Hitler...Only about 20% of Americans agree with what is going on it Iraq. You will hardly find any political stance that an American Politician takes that a majority supports... I am an American, but for the life of me I do not understand the EGO problem that politicians have when they think they are so wonderful they need to be president.... Any way to address you question...Shouldn't you say American Politicians and not just Americans...Only the people you see on TV are what you are using to judge us? That is as bad as Bush thinking he knows what the Iraqis want

When asking this question you should say where you are from

I am an American and I am proud of it. Why do you hate Americans? We don't think we are always right and we know we cannot rule the world. Wouldn't want to even if we could. Why would you believe that crock of lies on loose change. Some of us are loud and some of us are full of themselves, and some of us cannot mind our own business. That makes us just like all the other people in all the other countries. Most of us are decent, hard-working people. Oh by the way you want to know where we are from but you don't mention where you are from so where are you from?

We don't think we are right and we don't want to rule the world. Our president wants to keep us safe so another 9/11 doesn't happen. If we show the world we are not afraid to strike back at terrorists, maybe they will think twice before messing with us.

The US did not plan 9/11.

I am a proud American

I'm from the US, I don't like saying American's because well, Canada is in America, Mexico is in america and there is also south america.

that being said, I think that one point shows how "American's" think they are right. We have grown up in a capitalist environment where people are taught to be independent and better than everyone else. It's natural to loose sight of others.

IT also doesn't help that we are taught in public schools barely anything on other countries out of the US and Western Europe. Nothing on Asia, nothing on Canada, Latin America, Africa, etc, etc and then YET we SEE jaded views of what the people in these areas live like in the news, media, etc

There was intelligence regarding 9/11, but we certainly didn't plan attacks on our own people. That is ridiculous. Unfortunately, we had Clinton in the White House at the time, which is part of the reason that intelligence reports were ignored.
I am from the U.S. and, personally, I get tired of people whining about us all the time. A lot of people complain about us, but we're the first ones they come to when they need money, protection, etc. Where are you from? I'm curious.
