Variety entertainmers include magicians, ventriloquists, contortionists, jugglers, acrobats, animal acts, chalk talk, escape artists, puppeteers, comedians, and persons with special skills like rope twirling, superior memory, the ability to spit watermelon seeds great distances, etc.

Standard types of entertainment include: dance, music, and theater.
