It is a sheer stupidity to relate fake like vastu with the poverty both in mind & material which is very much abject in India.

Fantastic question.. vastu or magic or anything else does.nt deceide with poverty... Its the people.. Indian is a vast country with a huge population... Its really very difficult for the government to look into each individual.. many ppl blame the government..

Let me clarify some of these illiterates. Vaastu is not a blind belief. It's a science just like Yoga. It tells what will make you to feel better. Even if you don't do Yoga, nothing will happen to you. But if you do Yoga, it will be better for your health.
Vasstu is based on natural light and earth's magnetic fields and it recommends certain locations based on the activities you do.
This has nothing to do with poverty of the position India is in. India's poverty is due to ages of colonism and religious conflicts.

you answered your own question... (not that i believe in "vastu").. you said it brings good luck and i say luck is not enough to kill poverty... you need money, goods, resources, etc. to kill poverty...
Not everything in India is set according to "vastu"...
