homework for speech..

You know, I never did well in my own speech class...

But I'd say, speak out clear and loud,
be animated,
put thoughts and emotion behind the words,
be brazen for one night,
and don't think about how embarrassing you may look (everyone will forgive you heartily).

Of course that all sounds much simpler and easier than it really is. Best of luck.

With no offense to some answers I suspect they didn't GET the Q?

1. Casting/auditions
2. Have a viable script/story to tell
3. Know the business
4. Determine and follow guidelines with regard to budget, timing, etc.
5. Know your target audience, especially with regard to their interests, and budgets.

By the way 5 things barely scratches the surface.

1 don't come in stinkin of booze.
2 don't speak in a foreign langauge.
3 if you forgot what your lines were, don't apruptly say in the middle of your lines " I forgot what I was going to say".
4 I forgot what I was going to say.
