Do women really enjoy pregnancy, with its morning sickness, burping, farting, puffiness, heartburn, and other things, or do they just pretend to, because they are supposed to, and because if they say that they hate being fat and unwell all the time, they will be judged by others as bad?

this is from my point of view!!!!

at the beginning, i enjoyed it, wondering what sex it was, thinking of baby names----- always hated the morning sickness thou!----- u look forward for the first kick!

THEN u get to the bit where u start to walk like a bloody penguin, its got to the point now where my other half calls me HAPPY FEET---- lol----. Your tie rd all the time, u cant sleep, your back hurts, and to be honest, you just want the little bugger out!

so, pregnancy as its ups and downs..... well, that's my opinion, all pregnancys are different.... sum women get it easy, sum get it hard! And for all them women who have ad it easy, I'm jealous of u.... lol....

from a 8month pregnant woman, who is a bit fed up with being pregnant!

Well for me the answer is yes and no. There are times I love being pregnant. I love the anticipation. I love feeling the baby move. I'm on my third pregnancy and the first two trimesters were wonderful. I felt so healthy and terrific. I was energetic. My complexion was amazing. My hair looked incredible. Then I entered the third trimester. Now I'm huge, sore and dealing with issues such as heartburn and puffiness. I'm tired all the time and I have dark rings around my eyes. The baby moves constantly but it hurts. I can't get comfortable at night. I'm now having trouble walking. I have to walk very slow. I'm 33 weeks and I'm ready to have this baby here. But despite all of that I wouldn't change anything. That is just part of pregnancy. I'll get through it like I did the first two times. And if we're lucky I'll go through it a fourth and final time. And I look forward to all 9 months of it. No, I'm not just saying that because I think I'm supposed to. It is all so worth it in the end.

Hey it's not all bad, well it wasn't for me I had afternoon sickness for about 6 weeks and had the heartburn and the rest as well. But I did like being pregnant, i loved it when my baby moved and the feeling of closeness. some other things i enjoyed were.
I got to buy new clothes, there are some great clothes out there these days.
I didn't shed hair everywhere like i usually do (I'm brunette with white tiles and you see it everywhere lol)
your nails are stronger
You can eat that extra slice of cake and people don't think badly of you.
You can eat anything and blame it on cravings.
you get a baby shower
Buying all the baby stuff.
Going for a scan and seeing your baby
When your feeling down you know that it's all worth it in the end and hey it doesn't last forever (even though it can feel that way sometimes)

I have 5 children, one adopted. My pregnancies were the most magical, incredible, wonderful time of my life. If I had one day to live I would want to spend it pregnant...in my 7th or 8th month. Nothing can compare to that feeling of being full of life. The feeling of that tiny person rolling and kicking inside of you. Actually all the different phases are precious. I loved it when I could feel the baby move but no one else could....like it was just our sacred, blessed secret....I loved it when I first found out, I loved reading everyday about what was happening, what new things were growing and developing. I loved it toward the end when no matter what I did the pregnancy consumed my every waking ( and un-waking!) moment. I was so full of life, the baby was everywhere and its movements were lethargic yet strong, slow yet determined. I could feel the desire my baby had to be born, to move on to the next stage of life. I loved watching when my baby had the hiccups! I LOVED being pregnant. There was nothing I did not love because it was all part of being pregnant.
I loved it all but then I am totally maternal. I also loved breastfeeding. It was the most natural and yet magical act, I will never forget watching my milk surge into that tiny mouth. Watching that little body get plump and strong and knowing that it was my milk alone that had done that!
I loved it. I loved it all!
That is my answer and it is from my heart.

iv miscarried in the past so im very nervous about this pregnancy and am only really happy when im feeling bad because then i know everything is ok.

If you are feeling bad just think of it as a sign that your baby is ok and be glad.

I think most women do.. But I personally wouldn't know since i have never been pg.. cant have babies.. So if i had had the chance, and with all the bad that can go with it I would have embraced it.. so women who can, should feel blessed and enjoy everything about it..

I know very few women who say they enjoy pregnancy. I for one hate it and have absolutely no remorse for admitting so. If others judge me, oh well. They can try to walk a mile in my shoes and other women who have difficult pregnancies.

Some women have strong maternal instincts and enjoy being pregnant and giving birth to new life. It's priceless.
