I don't understand that this can make headline news, but when a white person is beaten up by a gang that are from another culture, nothing is said. Also, surely if this is racial abuse that has happened to Shilpa Shetty, then surely almost every person has gone through it at some point in their life? So surely this should be on the front page every time it happens to somebody? Then again I don't actually think that it is racial abuse, i believe that it is just girls being girls in a closed environment

No, you pay your license fee to the BBC, and nothing goes to Ch 4 or any other channel, you licence fee is in effect a fee to allow you to receive TV broadcasts, and all proceeds go to the BBC, and no, you can't calim that you never watch BBC so shouldn't have to pay the fee, because you will always be able to watch it, either terrestrially of through SKY etc even if you don't. That's just a personal decision.

Is it what you're paying for? No. Channel 4 doesn't get any of the licence fee. You're paying if you're a Carphone Warehouse/TalkTalk customer or support any of the other businesses who advertise during it.
Or if you're daft enough to phone/text and vote, of course.

The dumbing-down of this nation is in full effect. If you want real news, buy a good newspaper or watch BBC news 24. But if you watch BB in any of its guises your part of the problem.
