My wife has had to endure the same kind of cattiness at her last two jobs and her present one because she's a muslim and, worse, also has a degree. It seems that British women like to form cliques (like the 3 in BB have done) and then make life unbearable for the outsider. If you watch closely, the three in the clique are actually looking for and inventing things to be upset about. The facts that Shilpa is Indian, a huge star and behaves with dignity and generosity, typical of indian people, are annoying them.
Jermaine was right when he said Shilpa has class and the other three just want to bring her down. Bringing people down is common to British men and women and children. School bullies attack the high achievers and so do many people at work. Joe Girard was top car saleman in the USA for 14 years running and whenever he went to collect his award after his third win at the annual car sales convention, the other salespeople booed him. His response was to tell them that their booing gave him the right to be there again next year as top salesman. TAnd he was, ten more times!
Shilpa might try that response but my wife's response is better. When they finish slagging her, she smiles sweetly and asks the clique if they feel better now, showing them they have had no impact at all upon her self-value.
As for the girls in BB, I feel sorry for the three because an amazing number of people have the same feelings as you, and will call them pigs or cows or bitches - at least until the next BB.

Indeed. I must say I havn't seen any of BB - just the repeats on the news but I would suggest the whole thing did not start off as racism but as Jade's jealousy. Then, unfortunately, having very little else to be unpleasant to Shilpa about, an undercurrent of racism/ignorance has come to the fore.

Shes one of the worst chavs ive seen on tv!
She revels in the fact that shes famous for the being the most common person on a past Big Brother and as for her mum, she made me ill!
Im sure Donny Touret is gald he got out when he did, i know i couldnt bare to have to spend time with her!
