What's the regular servicing costs at a Porsche service centre? It would be great to find out the actual cost from owners rounded to the nearest $100 in Australia.

I'm thinking of a car between the years of 1997 to 2001 with 80,000 or more kilometres.
Car servicing could be minor, moderate or major. I'm interested in finding out what Australian owners paid for these services at Porsche Dealerships/Service Centres.

Basic oil change service on a Boxster in Canada starts @ $200-$250. 8 1/2 liters of synthetic oil -$10.00 per lit re and an oil filter costs $20.00. Oil change interval recommended @ 24,000 km, but I change it once a year because I don't drive it that often. I had a 5 year service done by a Porsche dealer. Had them change the coolant, brake fluid , gear box oil , adjust the park brake and checked the air bag system-cost $750. I changed the oil, oil filter and cabin air filter myself. Expect $1000. Spark plugs good for 100,000km. At 80,000km expect to have a serpentine belt(alternator belt) to need replacing. Labour rates @ dealership are between $95-$100 per hour. Check with your local Porsche service centre and ask about there service package costs. They usually vary according to time and mileage. Hope this helps, but as they say "If you can afford to buy the car, you can afford to maintain and fix it."

It will cost you a lot. If you take it to a Porsche Dealer, you're looking at AT LEAST 160 per hour in labor (in the USA), if it's a just a tune up or so..aprox. 350-600 depending on what types of servicing you are needing. Don't be fooled, I've seen servicing as high as 900.
I own a 1987 Porsche 928 S4 and I took it in for servicing here in my area, I paid 1100 w/tax and labor.

I am not sure, but is the same as other German cars like Mercedes, Audi, and BMW. It is more expensive than America, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese cars to maintain. But Porsche is reliable and you shouldn't have any problems.

overall, its alot. matters which service youre in for. And how much the dealer wants to rape you for it. Honestly, good porsche mechanics are pretty easy to find (very few crappy mechanics work on them regularly), and your issues should be taken there, not to a dealer.
also, which model boxster and how many miles?

sevice charges are baised on the service you will require...there is no specific service fee that covers everything on the car.
but what ever it is it will be porsche hiked so you might as well look into getting at least a 993 or a 996 instead of buying the crappy boxster...or as i like to call it "the ladies model" .
