Does any one know anything about the local laws regarding procurement and consumption of recreational drugs like cannabis (or mushies) in Morocco? (Please answer if you know the answer, as opposed to drugs are bad blah blah blah...)
Any pointers, thoughts or stories greatly appreciated.

Under the Moroccan Criminal Code, possession of any illegal substance carries the following penalties:
- five to ten years in prison
- 500 to 50,000 dollars in fines
- confiscation of any goods related to the crime
- 5 to 20 year ban on entering Morocco
Morocco does not distinguish between production, sale or consumption of drugs. Simple possession is enough.

Also as well as the answers already given, be aware that sometimes people sell you drugs that actually work for the police, you buy them, police sweep in and you are arrested there and then! be careful
