Has anyone had an episiostomy? Does it hamper your sexual performance later? Does it expand the vagina permanently. I worried coz my guy is really small and I am expecting soon.

I didn't have one but wish i had. I tore really bad had to have stitches and sex was painful and unenjoyable for a long time. Lots of women have them and don't have problems afterwords. I don't think it will make you "bigger" if you do. Congrats on the baby and good luck.

I didn'thave an episiotomy but i did tear and need stitches. It took six months before i found sex enjoyable and pain free. but some women find sex pleasurable earlier than that, some it takes longer. The vagina goes back to the way it was before pregnancy. Its good to do kegels. Breastfeeding can make things abit drier, so its good to use a lubricant.

maybe a little tmi and I'm sorry but i had one but i also tore from front to back and side to side after the episiotomy... my doc said he stopped counting after 120 stitches... i was petrified to have sex for a long time because he is very well endowed but when it came down too it he took his time and it was ok (mind you i flat out refused to have sex for like 3 or 4 months) good luck and congrats. you may not even need an episiotomy, you may not even tear, you never know.

Episiotomy is stiching the area in between the anus and vagina if it gets teared during delivery. This tearing is common to let the baby out easily.Hence there is nothing to worry. This stiching doesn't have any effect on sex.

I had an emisiotomy, and my guy was on the small side, but afterward, he said i was actually tighter. If you are worried, ask ur dr to put in and extra stitch....also called the Daddy Stitch...

Depends how much they sew you up afterwards.

Is your guy really small when his penis is hard or just when it's soft? -- the size that counts is when it gets hard. If what you're looking at is penis when soft, you might be amazed when you saw the size hard.
