How did you ever get in or get the car turned off?

I did that once while I was away from home; it took a locksmith three hours to get to us because we were in the middle of nowhere outside of Tampa, and at the time my car was already having problems with overheating! We had to dump water in it a few times while we waited, and a coat hanger wouldn't open the door either....I can laugh at the memory though :)

My oldest daughter did that. She stopped to scrape some ice off and had to walk to the nearest house so my younger daughter could bring a key. It was only about a mile from home so it didn't take long.
Years ago,I used to get drunk and just lock the keys in the car. By the time I got the door open I was sober enought to drive.

I did the day before my wedding ( long before Onstar). I called my husband (to be) and told him what happened, then called a cab and went home.I left it running. Luckily it wasn't far from where he was working. He had a key and turned it off and we picked it up later.

I did that years ago. Had to call the police and have them open it for me. Only took him about 2 minutes. Now I carry a spare key in my pocket just in case I have another brain fart. LOL.
