What to do with expired SIM cards? I have at least 3 ( three ) used and expired mobile SIM cards and I cannot figure out as what to do with it. Should I throw away or burn it or break it before disposing?

Try exchanging it with other SIM cards. I know some networks offer SIM exchange, but I don't think they still offer those anymore.

If they are expired then they cant be used to make or receive calls though the data on the sim cards like phone numbers and messages can be misused so its better to remove the data and break them n then dispose, you can keep one as a spair though cos if you have an extra phone which requires a sim card to be put in to start, you can use one of the old ones :)

Mobiles usually can be operated only when SIM is inserted(There are exceptions). A couple of times I bought a new mobile & I didnt have a SIM to test the mobile.
Its good to have them as a spare to use as contact store.

well you can still use it as back-up of your telephone directory of your contacts in case your working sims become damages in certain ways or lost with your phone. you may go to your service provider for re-activation but it cost as brand new sims but you will still retain your old number, ther are lots of way to do on your sim's you can make it as "pick" on guitar if you where a musician or use it as spacer if your table is not level or moving. before you throw something, think of usefull way that you will never to buy for something else
