I have to put a vote in for Australia. I have lived in quite a few places but this is why Australia is the best...

1) Free health care
2) Free schools
3) No upfront payment for University
4) Safe country
5) People are friendly and have a great sense of humour
6) Awesome surf and beaches
7) Good night life
8) Rainforests, beaches, Great Barrier Reef, Desert, Snow fields, Fraser Island, Whitsundays
9) Low level of unemployment (less than 5%)
10) Best sporting nation on earth (per capita for Olympics etc)

Best place to live? That is really difficult to answer because of human preferences. One person's paradise may be another's hell. One person may love the tropical beaches of the Caribbean, while the next person may prefer the scenery and cold climate of Alaska.

Culture plays a huge role in these preferences as well. One person may prefer the fast lifestyle and liberal character of the US West Coast, while someone else may hate it, preferring a slower paced lifestyle in the Midwest.

Best place to live? I cannot answer that for you; that is for you to decide.
