when learning to drive it can be difficult to get the clutch control and can result in the car 'hopping' and 'jerking' which can cause the belt to tighten... As your 6 months you wont pass your test before the baby arrives and this will result in a gap between lessons, it depends on how commited you are to learning to drive.
Also if you are a little woried that you may halm the baby while learning, you proberly wont be concentrating on the driving and it may be best to wait until a few weeks after the birth.
Talk it over with your midwife and get a few pros and cons written down....
Good Luck!

i'm in an similar challenge (and, like you, nowhere close to 15)... My take: do only it. Yeah, you've gotten an twist of destiny -- yet you would possibly want to really have one a three hundred and sixty 5 days from now with the infant in the motor vehicle. each little thing has disadvantages. At very least, get your self tender with tooling round in parking lots and down abandoned streets at evening. it would want to no longer be the time to study throughway driving, yet get the fundamentals. And: in case you canpersistent quite properly even as heavily pregnant, driving at your frequent length without someone kicking you, you'l make a sturdy driving force later on. That, and picture of it because the only ideal few months you'd have the ability to do stuff on your own agenda. sturdy success!

I really don't see why it would be dangerous for the baby. If you go with a proper driving instructor, he will have dual controls, which makes it extremely unlikely that you would have an accident.
I'd say it's much more dangerous for someone who already has their licence to drive as they are far more likely to have an accident.
The only thing you might find is that it is difficult to take it all in when you are pregnant. I am 6 months pregnant and very absent minded. If you are anything like me you will probably find learning to drive right now quite hard, and are more likely to get emotional if you do it wrong, end up feeling like an idiot and giving up!

Course you can learn! The baby is well protected in there. You can also get a pregnancy strap thing for the seatbelt which I used before which meant I was more comfy.
The only thing is that once you get big, doing the maneouvers may be uncomfortable as you have to twist round. But maybe not! But it doesn't hurt to try and, if you do get uncomfortable, you can always finish up after you have your baby. Good luck!!

My aunty got her license while pregnant, She got her L's at 8 weeks and passed her final driving test at 8 1/2 months!!! It didnt hurt her or the baby and in fact made her life a little easier by being able to drive with the baby rather than worry about public transport.
Good luck with bubs and hope all goes well with ure license =)

I think you would be fine! Just take it slow, and stay in parking lots. It's probably a great idea so you're ready for when the baby comes. I think learning to drive with the babies in car would be even more unsettling.
Good luck. Have fun!

Can't believe people are advising you against it! Of course you can learn to drive and this would be the ideal time to do it - it'll be so much easier to cope once baby is born, rather than having to lug your little on around on public transport. Go for it and good luck!

I think learning to drive would be ok but always check with your doctor. I can't see driving hurting the baby. The problem I had was, my belly button had popped out and my legs are so short, that to reach the pedals my belly button rubbed against the steering wheel! That hurt!

It wouldn't be dangerous for the baby, but my wife had to stop learning to drive when she was pregnant as she fouldn it very diffcult to move and twist, Especially for reversing manuvours.

I know lots of people who learned to drive whilst they were pregnant. Just think of it this way once your baby,s born you won,t have time to do anythin. So i say if you want to do ot do it now while you can.
