how do i show the linear regression line on a graph on excel?

Set up a column x and fill it with values
set up the top cell of the adjacent column, y, =a+b*x
edit to fix cells a and b. Fill down to match rows in x.
select the two columns, choose graph, select x,y. You can also modify this to superimpose a scatter graph of your data.

In Excel it's called a trendline. Punch this word into Excel's Help and you'll get instructions.
