Money on its own can't bring happiness no. You have to know what to do with it. If you don't love yourself, then all the money in the world won't fill the void you feel. If you do love yourself, then you don't even need money, you'll find happiness regardless.
So if you're head is on straight, you love yourself & the world then surely money can buy happiness because it buys freedom to enjoy your life (rather than being a slave to a job). You could travel, be with loved ones, pursue your passions & hobbies. How could you not be happy?
Some people don't even know who they are or what their dreams are. They don't like themselves. These people don't know how to be happy & giving them money won't help. They'll just blow it on stupid toys & still feel empty inside. They'll end up on expensive drugs or drinking themselves into oblivion.
Love gives you happiness. Love of yourself. Love of others. Love of the world. Without it, you are guaranteed sorrow.

Money pays for the bills, you can live the way want to, and can give you a temporary pleasure but you can not buy love. It is a cliche "Money can not buy happiness"
what makes me happy is when I have the freedom to do anything I want with my life without people telling how to live it.
I will be happy if I could be with the man I love, but right that is simply impossible.
If I could live in my dream city. Drive my dream car, Live in my dream home, but of course these things involves money.
I have my dream job but not the rest
But what makes me really happy is that I know God loves me, and knowing that I have a Guardian Angel.

No money can't give happiness, its our thinking that the money will give happiness but it can't be'coz if one gets money then he always think of how to save the money, what to do with this money etc...the more money u get, the more u will be thinking of how to protect this money(from theft.....). The peace and happiness lies only in following the true religion, in following the commandments of the creator of this world....[In my view, Islam is the best religion be'coz the definition of Islam is itself 'peace ' and submission to the will of God].....
The best example: The producer or the owner or the creator of a car writes a manual of how to use it effeciently and smoothly and the one who follow the instructions given in the manual can have his/her car in a good condition ie; it runs smoothly without any problem. Likewise, the creator of this world (the heavens, the earth, the sky without any pillar....think out for a moment how great the God is...........) who knows everything even what's in ur heart has send a manual ie;THE QURAN through Angel Jibreel to the prophet Mohammed(PBUH) and the one who follow the commandments of God written in the Quran will be happy forever here and the hereafter......It is a fact. This is the only way in my view through which one can achieve happiness in his/her life.

Nothing in itself can give happiness except for some unattainable abstracts like 'state of mind' or 'contentment'.
Happiness is to be achieved by removing or minimizing whatever causes unhappiness. If shortage of money is acute, indeed to earn some would be the first step. We need to keep identifying small small things that make us unhappy and attempt removing or avoiding them one by one. Then the catch arrives.... we would suddenly discover that at the root of unhappiness lies our ego or bloated self which never gets satiated and makes us run in circles. To rein in this huge disadvantage of bloated or pampered self, we need to keep on reminding ourselves how small and minuscule we really are in contrast with the vast universe and eternal time and learn to accept the unfavorable with humility. A giant step towards more lasting happiness would then have been taken.

Money...money can give you comforts, but happiness... happiness is an inside event. You are happy when you decide you are happy. It's really that simple.

Money doesn't alone give happiness. But it can buy things that can bring you happiness. Love, lust etc., are secondary and can only bring you temporary happiness. Once you find that you don't have money, your happiness will leave you.

Till we have money, it keeps us a bit away from happiness !
Very few have the capacity to remain happy without money.
And then when we have money, now, we start 'chasing' happiness, for a 'change'(change in both senses !)

money is just a tool to facilitate happiness. some people are wise enough to reach it without the aid of the super tool that everybody thinks it will help them in the happiness business.
