No, because that does not change the social and political system in any way. And that is the real cause of what you are saying.
Anytime women have been in power they have done just the same as men.

The world of humanity is possessed of two wings: the male and the female. So long as these two wings are not equivalent in strength, the bird will not fly. Until womankind reaches the same degree as man, until she enjoys the same arena of activity, extraordinary attainment for humanity will not be realized; humanity cannot wing its way to heights of real attainment. When the two wings become equivalent in strength, enjoying the same prerogatives, the flight of man will be exceedingly lofty and extraordinary.
Only when women become full participants in all domains of life and enter the important arenas of decision-making will humanity be prepared to embark on the next stage of its collective development.
The elimination of discrimination against women is a spiritual and moral imperative that must ultimately reshape existing legal, economic, and social arrangements. Promoting the entry of greater numbers of women into positions of prominence and authority is a necessary but not sufficient step in creating a just social order. Without fundamental changes in the attitudes and values of individuals and in the underlying ethos of social institutions, full equality between women and men cannot be achieved. A community based on partnership, a community in which aggression and the use of force are supplanted by cooperation and consultation, requires the transformation of the human heart.
The world in the past has been ruled by force, and man has dominated over woman by reason of his more forceful and aggressive qualities both of body and mind. But the balance is already shifting; force is losing its dominance, and mental alertness, intuition, and the spiritual qualities of love and service, in which woman is strong, are gaining ascendancy. Hence the new age will be an age less masculine and more permeated with the feminine ideals an age in which the masculine and feminine elements of civilization will be more evenly balanced.

Men have an inescapable duty to promote the equality of women. It is essential that men engage in a careful, deliberate examination of attitudes, feelings, and behavior deeply rooted in cultural habit, that block the equal participation of women and stifle the growth of men.

A ruler is not a person (male or female), it is just a position. He or She are just keepers of rules set by the society in general. For the world to be a better place, you, me and everyone have to pitch in their bit. A world can become better only when it is a collection of better people and not better male or female leaders. A more concerned individual or a group of concerned individuals can still make the current world led by the current leaders a better place to live. Today, we are not even worried about the problems our neighbors are facing. We are not committed enough to make our neighborhood a better place, so thinking about making the world a better place is a far off question to me.

Your point is very valid, although the wording of your questions sounds a bit harsh towards men, and therefore you fall upon dead ears because it sound like feminism.

Personally men could remain in control as far as I am concerned, if they would adjust themselves to rightful thinking. Meaning as you stated the arrogant aggressive testosterone behavior is growing tiresome and is hurting far too many people all over the world.

Literally people are needlessly dying daily all around the world in large numbers simply because of arrogance and competitiveness.

In reality, I honestly believe that the world would be a better place if it were ruled by COMPETENT and HONEST individuals, men and women of integrity, PHILOSOPHERS, not politicians who are controlled by the super rich and powerful and owe their allegiance to special interests and betray the public that elected them into office. But, I guess I'm just dreaming... too many brainwashed fanatics voting for the wrong reasons...!

uhhhhhhhh....the world IS ruled by women. However, you are asking if the gender roles were reversed would the world be a better place. I think not, women in Combat have proven themselves to be vicious to a degree that men could not even fathom.

I agree with you 100% Plato respected women & wanted equal participation of women in political life. But since then men have appropriated all the power for themselves. The world will be a better place if women were in power.

I genuinely believe that women should be allowed to rule this world directly rather than by proxy through their men. If nothing, it would make matters more efficient and smooth. As to whether the world would be better or worse.... well, future is uncertain and I would keep my fingers crossed. Nevertheless, the gamble is worth it, considering the state of affairs obtaining as of now!!
