the reason it disgusts me is the same reason i'm disgusted by the growing trend of reptile ownership in this country. everyone loves the exoticism -- the "coolness" -- but it's the rare individual who will take the time to ensure that the animal has everything it needs. temperature precision, proper cleanliness, etc. not to mention that the fish might be disturbed by noises and commotion in a bathroom (and very up-close!), as opposed to, say, a living room, along a wall. i think it's incredibly unlikely that the average person (or perhaps child) "caring" for the fish in a contraption like this one would be conscientious and attentive.

incidentally, many reptiles in captivity (domestic situations) die for these very reasons. if it's not one species, it's another. i've seen photos of fish in a coffee table, and fish on a desktop. and now fish behind a toilet. sigh.

Because most inhumane beings believe they are the higher power and choose to do it purely because of that.

Okay, but how objective is the statement? How do we know that they are suffering? As humans we can't help but project. But what do the fish say? Can we measure their stress? Are they better off in a pond where they are in danger of predators? Are they better in an ordinary aquarium? Hey the water in that toilet would probably be replaced every so many hours. How often does aquarium water get replaced?

Gosh, I don't know what that is. Seems like some kind of a thing with plastic fish? I don't know how in the world it would fly if it was a true aquarium with live fish.

It's what man does. In his arrogance, believing himself superior to everything, he uses & abuses nature for his pleasure. Welcome to the world. Toilet fish are pretty tame compared with the atrocities committed against animals & the rest of the planet every day...

some idiots like exotic animals and they buy them without any knowing of how to take care of them. not everybody. some people intend to take care of thier animals. you'r being unfair to the people who love certain animals and take good care of them.
and serouisly, do you think the designer of that toilet would make it so that the fish would be upset. or even if it's made for real fish.

it is kinda odd, but you know those fish are having the time of there lives, most fish have to sit in a bowl in the kitchen, these guys get to see you go, get to see you get in and out of the shower, man, they love life, im telling you, if i had to be a fish, i would want to be a toilet fish for sure.

Humans are extremely inconsistent... they can be the kindest as well as the cruelest.... no wonder they are so creative.... because the most consistent would really be the least creative!!

to put it plainly? they think it's funny, or cool. Whatever. They may think that it's harmless fun. But I can't see why anyone would want to do this.
Can't people just stick to normal aquariums?
