My sister used to twist things and say I was constantly picking on her which was totally untrue.. Things came to halt one day when I punched her in the head (I thought at the time might as well, because I will get the blame), My dad had heard everything she said and for once I didn't get into trouble. She learnt her lesson shes now 28 but she has lapses sometimes and I just roll my eyes (to warn her)!! But I was the same I could not stand even being in the same room as her!! As you get older I think you realise what is important!!

My sister used to make my life hell when we were kids, she would always put me down, and nothing I ever said or did was right, she used to love beating me up too. but when I discovered the reasons behind her behaviour things got much better, and now as adults we are as close as sisters should be. We may not be the best of friends, but when it comes to the crunch we are always there for eachother. You really need to talk to her and tell her how her behaviour makes you feel. And just maybe you will get to the bottom of things. I wish you the best of luck.

My sister is also a physco - really. When we became adults I tried to avoid her, eventually I had to put an DVO on her. I do not miss her in the slightest, in fact life is much better without her. It breaks my parents hearts, but I figure it was their choice to have her not mine, so why should I live badly for their decisions. I would be quite relieved if she dropped off the planet.

Move out and have nothing more to do with her. If you are too young to get a place of your own, then go to the social services and tell them you can't cope being in the house and tell them exactly what is going on.

Sibling rivalry - quite normal. Just don't let it deteriorate. Blood is still thicker than water when the crunch time comes. Don't cut your nose to spite the face.

it appears to me when sisters and brothers act as you are describing there really is hate there so i cant help thinking the parents must take some of the blame its pathetic/my family were never like that and all through our lives we were always there for each other sadly my brother and 3 sisters are no longer with us but i will always miss them

When we were kids my sister use to say 'don't speak to me again' i thought Ok! Then she'd tell my mother i'm not speaking to her, now we're older she complains about everything anyone does, in the end i just stopped talking to her altogether. Another A.R.S.E.H.O.L.E. off my back.
