The most significant event that occurrs in the T-Tauri phase is that the star performs "housecleaning". The star has begun its fusion stage and the stellar wind produced by the star is "blowing" the loose and ambient dust and gas particles (those that did not get pulled into the star or acrete into planetary bodies or such) out of the system.

T-Tauri is a variable star and is often used also to refer to a particular category of similar variable stars that are extremely young, pre-main sequence. I would guess that "T-Tauri phase" indicates a star that is in the same phase of life as T-Tauri, but without a better sense of the context for your question, it's hard to provide a complete answer.
