Lol. Laughing at all the funny answers here.
Used to be an old wives tale about catching a cold if you went to bed with wet hair. Don't know if that's true, but I do know if I sleep with wet hair, I'll wake up with my hair in a very odd style. It dries with your hair all squished up on one side or all bunched up curly like. Maybe with sticky outy bits all over. lol.
I don't think there is any scientific explanation other than, the way you sleep will determine the style you wake up with.

The mold part is true. Other than that sleeping on wet hair promotes dandruff (so i've heard) and messy and tangled hair, which in the end contributes to split ends. Oh yeah, all that moisture will give you bad headaches in the long run.

I don't know if there's a scientific explanation for it but it may not be good for your hair cause the moisture stays longer than it should and there are some who end up with a headache that may be caused because of the moisture too.

yes... I still get headaches in the morning when I go to sleep with my hair still wet from the shower.
Headaches can be very different for different people... If you use the hair dryer, you will sleep and wake up much better! ...

I usually get headache and blurry vision upon waking up when I sleep with wet hair. But others seem okay, no headaches except that their hair become unruly. No such thing as lice will grow nor fungus.

Oh gosh yes! You wake up and it's sticking up all over and the only way you can get it to lay back down is to wet it again.

It will cause head lies to grow on your head. They're bugs that causes your sculp to itch like mad. It's the same theory of fungus formation on tapes when there is moisture.
