The yello object will absorb all colours of the spectrum except yellow, which it reflects giving it the yellow colour. Of course the word yellow could just as well have been sgrookly, or whatever, we just happen to call that colour that name.

A circle is round because it represents the shape something will take when it has zero resistance in shape but is finite because of the substance. take a drop of water or mercury and put it on a flat piece of glass, it will be perfectly round. We have simply recreated that shape as being the most perfect shape available to us - the circle.

Because they are. Yellow and Circle are just languege labels for visually peceived colours and Shapes. Yellow reflects the yellow part of the visible spectrum and a Circle is the natural shape shown by liquids on a solid. Put a drop of water on your desk and look at its shape. We need standard "labels" to be able to communicate. IE so people know what your talking about. For Example. "Look at that yellow Coat!"

yellow is only the name given to the colour. If, from being young, you told that yellow was actually red you would say that it was red.
The same applies to circles, it just the name given to the shape to help easy identification.
