Until this very moment I was an advocate for the theory that all were created equally, but........

These two ignorant YA users [ kathy d and johnny] have proven me wrong.

There is absolutely no way that either of these two bigotted idiots could ever reach my level.

I'm sorry, it's just not possible.

Unless of course it was an act of God, a complete miracle!

Again, I feel the need to trash Thomas Jefferson and raise awareness on John Adams. When Jefferson writes all men are created equal, he only meant "whites with property ownships". As for proof of his ideals vs. personal actions, he did not free his slaves even after he died, which George Washington did by the way.

John Adams, on the other hand, never own a slave. He did hire helps to tend his farms, but that is not to say he did not spend time as laborer. He was amabassor to Holland, even during Congress of confederation period. He was the lawyer who defended the british soliders involved in Boston Massacre, while bostonians counted themselves as patriots at the time. Being the 2nd president of United States also did not hurt either.

Finally, to answer the question, as he drafted the Massachusetts constitution, Adams clearly pointed out that all men are not created equal, but born with equal rights under the law. That is the distinction. People often get equal rights and being equal confused. Another instance of poison spread by the likes of Thomas Jefferson.

How do I get to see what these people have written? I agree, an act of God is sometimes what it takes........okay, many times. And, yes, I believe we are all created equally, some just have an extra bowl of stupid for breakfast in the mornings.

in the united states our founding fathers found that truth to be self evident that all men were CREATED equal. not evolved equal.

I believe this to mean that everyone born in the flesh has the opportunity to go to heaven. its a little early to tell yet which ones will not make it because blinders have been placed on some peoples spiritual eyes for their own protection.

Created equal - yes. Some however, meander down the path of ignorance and wind up with a nasty case of cranial-rectal inversion. We are all born with gifts, talents, strengths and limitations - it's what makes us each unique.

No, that is a lie. Some are genetically privliged compared to others, such as your example of the two blundering idiots in contrast to lets say, you.

People are created equally. It's what they do with themselves afterwords that tips the scales. People can make or break their own lives with bad decisions and by giving up.

I know you are confused but born with inalienable rights is as equal as it gets it does not mean literally born equal . Gain some sense.
