Your weight is equal to the amount of gravitational force needed to hold you down onto the earth.
The more mass you have, the more force needed to keep your feet on the ground.

weight is the gravitational pull of the earth towards an object. its standard unit is in Newton, which is equal to kg.m/sec2 (kilograms times meter per second squared).
So when someone asks, "how much is your weight?" it's supposed to be, "how much is your mass?"
Mass on the other hand, is the amount of matter in an object. Its standard unit is in kilograms.
