hi, I am a nurse with 2 toddlers, living in seattle area. I 'd like to move to a warmer area, either Texas or Florida. I like to listen some opinions why should I choose one over the other...And which city are you proposed ...
I like low cost of living with a descent wage for nurse.

I think Texas is better choice for you cause away cheaper than Florida and less hurricane for sure.

I cannot tellyou about Texas, but the fact that Bush was governor there does not recomment it to me. I live in Florida and although the weather is good-save the summer heat & humidity, the prices on homes, insurance and taxes has been escalating with alarming rates. As a nurse you should be able to find work as Florida is the pre-burial vault of the USA. However it is also a right-to-work state with no unions and paltry wages. Then again the other Bush boy was governor here too.

I have the same question! Figure out what areas you are looking at, Austin, San Antonio, Tampa, Orlando, etc... and then research the specifics. Hospital ratings, school ratings, preschools in the area, housing costs, etc. then you will have a better idea where you should be looking at. Look for large health care industry where you want to move, with good schools. That would be my idea first.

Are you fluent in Spanish? In West Palm Beach, there are 86 different dialects detected. In Texas you'd have to learn to speak.... like Bush only gooder, I reckon
