GOOD DEFENSE... Look at the numbers they do not lie..

If your opponnent can not score, they can not win!!!

Last 6 SuperBowl Champions and the Rank in Def point allowed and OFF points scored breaks down to this. This is out of the 32 teams

05 Steelers 9th in OFF 3rd in DEF
04 Patriots 4th in OFF 2nd in DEF
03 Patriots 12th in OFF 1st in DEF
02 Bucs 18th in OFF 1st in DEF
01 Patriots 6th in OFF 6th in DEF
00 Ravens 14th in OFF 1st in DEF

I would rather see a good offense. Depends really on what grade of offense and defense you are talking about.

If I have the choice of the Baltimore defense from 2000 and the Rams offense of 1999, I would take the offense. That offense had a lot of weapons, too many for the defense to cover.

As for the old saying "Defense wins championships" all I have to say is that in today's NFL anyone can win the title.

Defense wins championships. Offense wins the regular season and puts fans in the seats even if they lose. Look no furthter than Indy for this example. They have had one of the most prolific offeneses over the past few years yet have not won a championship. Now consider teams like the Patriots, Ravens and Steelers. They have all been defense first.

And speaking of the patriots heres another example. Think of what happened to the Rams in their last super bowl appearance. They had a top ranked offense with a mid tier defense. And they lost.

Excalibur and Ryan just basically summed up your question....

WARNING: The more a Team tries to throw the Football, the probability that you will have a Turnover (QB fumble and Interception) increases.....

It's better to have a Great Running Game because only 1 player is touching the ball and he is eating up the Clock by going up-and-down the Field.....

Well, since the Colts, who are all offense, beat Baltimore, who are all defense, I will have to say Offense is most important.

both are essential, but if u cant score on offense, then the only other way to score is on defense. so i guess i have to say good defense
