I think atheism is a mental disorder.

An atheist brain refuses to answer where life and humanity originate or why is there suffering, sickness, and death. An atheist's brain refuses to answer what happens after we die. Atheism can not determine what is moral or immoral, what is right or wrong.

Of course, atheists disagree with me and I expect several thumb's down. Sorry, guys. But I'm just expressing my personal opinion.

I totally agree with you and I love the way you put it. :)

But atheism is not a mental disorder unfortunately. (I'm saying 'unfortunately' because ay least those kind of disorders can be cured :).

It could be a mental disorder IF certain mental disorders would stop people from being aware of religion and from being able to decide for themselves what they are. In that case, since you would be insane, and you wouldn't be accurately aware of the concept of religion, the lack of religion would be caused by the mental disorder so that's how the atheism could be directly associated with the disorder itself.

Atheists, as far as I know, do not deny the painter, they just describe the creation without the need for a 2000 year old myth and one dusty book that proves nothing.

They could be right, eh? They could be wrong. It's more probable that they are not, but only time will tell (Anyone guess where I stand?)

PS where is the thumbs down for a question when you need it? You made me have to write something! grrr

No one sees anything but the light reflecting back. There is no paint and there is no wall.

HA. nah, sorry to report, it's not.
It's really just people who don't realize that the world was made BY someone... sure the big bang could've happened, but how could it have been possible? Oh, maybe by G-D.
Yeah, it's just a group of people who rely on their eyes, and not their minds, to see. =)

nope. it's a naturally instinctive sort of defense mechanism. the painting affects them too much so instead of regarding it as something real and getting themselves real hurt, they disregard the entire whole and say, "ok, now it's not a problem anymore because i've gone numb."

no christianity would be closer to a mental disorder on the lines of mass hypnosis. (i don't believe either is a mental disorder, but your point is heavy handed and inaccurate)

No, but trying to force everyone to think the same way might be. Humans are not meant to be sheep.
