Sadly the class system has collapsed and can no longer be written down without risk of prosecution.

The Link above is about 50 years out of Date, Military and Bishops are no longer cat. A and Indians and Pakistanis are never cat A, A very senior lawyer I know is treated like the tea lady by people who do not know her because she is Indian.
With the effective demise of manual workers, 90% of people were employed in Agriculture or in manual work in my Village 50 years ago, now it is 5% or less, the definitions need to be redrawn to have meaning, I guess 25% are Cat E, 20% of the UK population being unrecorded illegal immigrants, about
1% are cat A upper class
19% Cat B Upper middle class
45% Cat C1 lower middle class
5% Cat C2 skilled working class
5% Cat D working class
25% are Cat E underclass

It's difficult to say because these days a lot of people when asked will say they're a different class to what they could objectively be considered. For example, alot of middle class people like to say they're working class (see Guy Ritchie). It's difficult to define class: it seems to be to do with beliefs and ideology just as much (if not more) than money.

C2 skilled working class 21 %
D working class 16.2 %
