I have very regular cycle of 27 days and am rarely late. I decided to try and over the counter test to determine when I would ovulate (urine tests) but according to the tests I never ovulated! I know some cycles you dont ovulate and I had food poisoning before Christmas which delayed my period by 4 days but otherwise I had a normal period - is it possible that the test is wrong?

it's very possible. you can have a normal cycle but not be ovulating. i have pcos and due to hormonal imbalance i will test positive all of the time on these tests. best to check with your dr. to make sure you are ovulating.

If you are regular of 27 days you doctor can do a blood test on day 21 and check if you are. I have tried the ovulation tests and apparantly I never have ovualtion. Hence why I am having the blood test!

This was for my iui.
I have regular periods but the kit worked for me 1 month and the next month it did not show the smiley face ?(I used the digital kit by clearblue). My doctor suggested that I take the blood tests from now on and kits may not work for all..
I have now scheduled tests next month starting from the 13th day.

The urine test must be wrong, use the temperature method.
