I had my second Child 8 months ago, and decided it was the last, so wanted to go on a long term contraception. I started the jab, but Bled for all but 1 week in 3 months, as well as put on a lot of weight, so decided not to renew it, I am now not using any contraception, my husband is wearing condoms. I have had a lot of stress this past year, not only my second child and lack of sleep, but I've bought a house and my mother died(She was only 42), and I have to have my gallbladder removed in the next few weeks. I'm 24, 25 in June. I know I have had a lot of stress this past year, but I dont want to bother a doctor if thats all it is. I can cope with a bit of stress. Is there anything else it could be?

Sweetheart, you are only 24 and you have suffered a great deal in the last year. I am so sorry about your mother. I really think you owe it to yourself and your children and your husband of course to get checked out. I am older than you but when bleeding a lot due to peri-menopause i ended up anaemic, which felt awful. I really do advise you to go. Doctors are there to be bothered. That is their job and what they are paid to do.

Also you want to be in good condition for when your gallbladder is removed, and it is right to tell the docs exactly how you are and any problems.

I'm sure your mother would have wanted you to see a doc too, and would have advised you to go.

So please do go and good luck with everything. You deserve some good times now.

Faith x

you won't be bothering the doc hun , thats what hes there for. It's not normal to bleed that much ad it may well be the depo injection causing it. Best to rule it out so visit your quack for the all clear and good luck hope 2007 is a much better year 4 u xx :)

Stress can cause fluctuations in your cycle. also i have heard that for the first 3-6 months on the injection contraception that it is normal for bleeds to happen while your body gets used to the injection and your hormone levels settle down.

Yes you really should. It could lead to anemia and all you probably need is Birth Control to lessen the frequency of your periods.
