Obviously it depeneds on what you need. If you'd like the ability to watch videos you need the iPod video (although why you would want to watch videos on such a tiny screen is another matter). Another thing it depends on is the amount of music you have.....if you dont currently have more than about 8GB, the space on the iPod Video would be a waste. If you are one of the active types who like to take his Mp3 out on excercise, then you'd be much better with the flash-based Nano as it is less likely to skip. Also bear in mind that the video is about 3 times bigger than the nano, so if you want it to fit in your 'iPod pocket' (aka cigarette lighter pocket) you'd have to go with the Nano. Hope this makes it easier for you

Depends on your preferences. Nano is more portable because of the smaller size. But it also has smaller memory. On the other hand, video is slightly bigger, but you can save more songs and even movies. Of course nano is cheaper. However, the 8gb nano is already the same price as the 30 gb video ($250) so basically, you're just paying for the size difference. I have the 2gb nano which for all my purposes is enough for me. if I had the money though, I'd have bought the 30gb video. I wouldn't mind the size at all.

the real reason that both the nano and the classic are equivalent in value is because the version in how the reminiscence is kept. The ipod classic and the first technology ipods use what's called a frustrating force of their ipods, even as the nano, ipod contact, and the ipod shuffle all use what's called flash reminiscence. Flash reminiscence is commonplace to be more effective perfect in that its a lot more effective cellular and good for use with operating and quick paced activities, analyze have shown that too a lot action on an ipod with a frustrating force which incorporates the ipod classic can finally bring about interrupt of the ipod. it easily relies upon on what and/or the way you'd be using your ipod even as determining which ipod is ideal for you!

if you are going to use it to work out or run, get the nano. If you have a lot of music, want to watch video. or use the additional storage, get the 30GB video it really is great to have all that music and video in such a small package.
Nano = small size, no video, low storage
Ipod = video, big screen, 30gb storage, hard drive - so no hard workouts.
