No, you are actually a very good height for runway modeling. I have a friend who tried to pursue runway modeling but she was 5'7 and she kept getting declined because she wasn't 1-2 inches taller. In some cases, however, you can be 5'7 and do runway, but you typically have to be 5'8 and up. So, I say go for it!

This is my business and I don't mess around or kid around with these responses----
You are at the absolute miinimum height for runway work and if you have the appearance and body structure as well as any true runway technique you should be able to get a start provided you can find someone with an agency to give you the time of day !!!
I do not know where you are located in the world-- but I would suggest that you get some rock solid input on the total overview of this business and how best to approach it before you begin to begin !!! It is best to be informed up front about a lot of the particulars within the industry by someone in the know BEFORE you even start -----it will save a lot of time --energy-- money--heartbreak-- and sweat --- to do so !!

No way. Do you watch America's next top modeling? Anything over 5'8" is plenty tall. And if you have long legs it makes it even better. I think that having personality as your walking down the run way is what's important. You want to catch the eyes of the audience and if you have a great walk and good personality then you've got it.

it depends, some 5'9" girls have short legs. Kate Moss is, I guess, around 5'6" and devon aoki is about 5'5"
