If you are, why? How does sports benefit your life? It's not like your team winning will solve your debt problems? How does buying sports memorabilia and going to games show "support" to your team when it just profits corporations?

Yes. For #1 reason...its fun! Watching a game and rooting for your team is awesome. Especially big games like national championships, NCAA tourney, superbowls etc. Win or if your team wins the championships it makes up for all those down times a team or franchise has had. Im not a bandwagon fan so when my team(s) win it is a great feeling. Actually I tend to bet on a few games so yes it does tend to answer some of my money problems. I buy sports memorbilia for collections and decorations. The way i see it is, its a cruel hard world out there and there are many things to get "down" about if you will. Having sports atleast provides a distraction to most people if only for a few hours its worth it. Do people tend to go overboard? Most def, some people cry over there team losing or throw there remotes at the TV. Im not that kind of fan, I realize that it is just a game. I think for other people it provides a sense of entertainment aswell. So thats why they buy tickets.

No, I HATE them. I won't fake my alternatives are the tip-all-be-all of super style, however the video games many times bore me, the mentality of the gamers and followers delivered out are not the...maximum upstanding of the human psyche (rampant damaging sportsmanship, all approximately triumphing, various funds...for what returned--considering the fact which you could hit a ball???, potential, appearing immaturely, honest-climate followers, etc.), and that they look bigger on the checklist of priorities (investment, salaries of the gamers, attendance and tv-objective audience, idolatry of the athletes whilst they generally are not worth of it, etc.) than they actually would desire to be.
