I respect religions, all of them. But i have this feeling that makes me believe that lots of the people hanging around the Religion & Spirituality Section, especially the askers, have issues, i m not saying that they have serious ones, but there's somehow something not very right.
Mostly i got the feeling of "there's no point of answering this" even if i have an opinion on the subject.
What do you think?

That really depends on the situation and on your point of view. Really religious people or the opposite - convinced atheists - may seem different to you because the subject affects them much more than you think.

From the way you sound, I get the feeling that you are neutral to this subject. That's probably why you can't see things from their point of view. When you're really interested in something that controls your whole life or something that has a strong impact on you, you can't treat the subject as if it would be an ordinary one to you, which I'm guessing is how you feel towards this.

Let's just suppose that instead of Religion & Spirituality, the category would be focused on your hobbies. Whatever you would do, if you would ask or answer questions on that particular category, you wouldn't be able to sound detached. You would come off as very implied in the subject. And when you're part of something and so focused on something, you come off as weird, just like you see those questions. For example someone who has totally different interests than you do wouldn't be able to fully understand your behaviour. It all depends on whether you can relate or not.

As far as the Q & A part of it, yea, sometimes I feel that way too.
Maybe that is why they are very "into" their religion...because at this point in their lives they have lots of issues they need to deal with and are turning to religion for help. And, I guess Y! Q&A too.

have respect for other people's beliefs too and wasn't trying to offend.

I used to be in that category first I joined Y/A but later I found out people there are mostly radical religious people and they want to push their beliefs on others ...I think you're right ..most of the questions are asked only to insult other people's beliefs ..

I steer completely clear of the area. I don't like to be pushed in believing what others believe. That can't seem to be able to open their minds and say that it's OK for me to believe what I believe. No one is wrong or right.

I stay away from that section. All the askers want to do is lecture everyone about going to hell. For "religious" people, many of them are completely intolerant toward everyone else.
