Well some cysts can be controlled with oral contraceptives due to the hormones. If you have been diagnosed with endometriosis by surgery then maybe Lupron-Depot is a good option but lots of side effect (yuck i know, i went on it two times in my life and wouldn't do it again, it helped but did lots of damage). This minimizes the amount of endometrial tissue you have inside an sometimes eliminates it compleately. BUT, endometriosis can ALWAYS at anytime come back :-( sorry. I had a cyst but I would get cysts on a montly basis always on my left adnexal area. My largest one was the size of a tennis ball. I started accupuncture and some teas that were made just for me and...it went away. Took some time but, it did. They wanted to do surgery but I wanted to do that first because I have been on so many hormones and treatment for it my bones and body couldn't handle any more. BUT, that is my own experience.

Can it be cancerous? Well you don't know untill you have an ultrasound or an MRI, if it seems more solid or more concerning then your doctor is the only one who can tell you that...sorry. But, just to say yes it can and freak you out, I wouldn't do that and i've worked in Ob-Gyn for 11 years. If it ruptures and its large not only is it dangerous but soooo painful, i've had them rupture and the pain not only knocked me out but made me vomit and it was just... awful. No one should have to go through that if there is something you can do to hopefully prevent it. When it ruptures it can damage the fallopian tubes and the ovary possibly creating more scarring in that area.

This may take some time to reoccur after pregnancy. One reason would be because your horomes are still getting back in balance ESPECIALLY if you breast feed it can take longer. But pregnancy itself can help endometriosis ALOT. The reason being is your body stops producing so much estrogen, and what does endometriosis feed off of...yup, estrogen. Not only that but, you don't have cycles during pregnancy. So the endometriosis you have does not get affected and get larger. You can't prevent endometriosis, you can just try to slow it down or get pregnant, or take birth control pills. This can put it into remission for some time, how long, everyone is different but at least for awhile you can have some relief.

Hope this helps! Good luck!!

You need a fact check. We are punching holes all over the country since Obama took over. The sad part is that there is evidence that the fracturing is upsetting the sub-surface and could harm the water table. The other fact is we can't drill enough to make our country independent from imports.Be it alaska or the western state. Our demand is to great.Green is the answer, but the present technology will take to much from our food supply.Corn is a good example.Since we started using it for gasoline, food prices have skyrocketed.Obama is trying to get it right the first time by overhauling the drilling procedure. We don't need another BP screw-up.Fact check. We get 10% of our oil from so-called dictator countries.
