not familiar with logarithms yet..

Let log2 32 = x.

What logx y means is that x raised to some power, lets call it "z" = y

What this is saying is that 2 ^x = 32

32 can be re-written as 2 ^ 5.

So, we have 2 ^ x = 2 ^ 5.

Thus, x = 5

log 2 32= log32 / log2 in ur calculator... but i think the answer is 5, cuz 2 ^ 5 =32
