If your a big buffy fan this is big news and I do have to say its true, but do jump for joy just yet. Joss is bringing buffy back for an 8th season but dont expect sarah to join the cast or any of the others for that matter. The entire 8th season will be done in the form of a comic book series. It pick up a few months after season 7 ended. I know it a disappointment ( I know I was ) but the ggod news is that it is dead on with the story, it is the first cannon stuff to come out since the show ended. But I want to hear what people have to think about this turn of events. Do you think it will be good or will it just be ignored? One more question I want to ask. How many people think sarah is acting like she is to good to return to her role as buffy? My opion is that yes she is and really what else is she doing in terms of movie? She has a few but if she were to do buffy it would diffently be a big deal. Just thought I would bring this to all the fans out there.

Okay, when I saw your topic, I about spit out my drink. I wish the actual show would come back (because it was so great!), but if a comic book series is the only way we can get more Buffy, I say Go for it Joss! - while he's at it, do you think he can tidy up after Angel too?
And as for a Buffy movie, that would so be the best! I think it would sell more tickets than Serenity too... I know I'd be in line! :)

I dont think that SMG is acting like she is too good to come back to Buffy. She probably feels like that was the end for her run as Buffy and she wants to pursue other things. Just like Anthony Stewart Head felt the same way. As for the comic book being read or ignored, i think that ppl who are really into the Buffy Verse will read it but not ppl who just casually watched the show.

If none of the orignal cast is going to be in it, then I hope they don't do the soap trick and try to get us to believe different actors playing characteres we already have a set face in mind.
And I can't blame Sarah, she is having a hard time getting out of the typecasting. That is why a long running series is a blessing and a curse for an actor. It is steady pay, and people feel like they know. But it is bad because they feel like you ARE that character you played for so long.

Nope Buffy replace into stopped by Joss himself very almost 4 years in the past i think of.SMGellar refused to boost her settlement & David Boreanaz needed different issues previous Angel.Joss additionally replace into attempting to get Firefly off the floor so he desperate to end it after 7 seasons. it may be impossible now besides notwithstanding if he needed it as SMG has her action picture occupation & Boreanaz is in Bones.Alyson Hannigan has signed anew settlement on How i met your mom.Cordy is in Veronica Mars now as Kendall.
