Yes, that has happened to me a few times. Apparantly I also sometimes talk more in my sleep than when I'm awake.

Yes, when I was young and dumb I had an instance that is similar to what you have described above. I was out drinking at the bar with a friend. We left and he dropped me off at my truck. My truck was maybe 10 minutes from the bar at another friend's house. It was warm, I had an air mattress in the back from a camping trip the previous week and a cap that locked on the truck, so I figured I would sleep it off there. Then I would drive home the next day when I was sober. Well, I awoke the next morning in my bed. I was kinda confused at first, but then I just figured my friend had taken me home and gone to his girlfriend's house to sleep, since she lives near me. I live about thirty minutes from the bar though, so I wondered how I was going to get back to my truck. I called his girlfriend's house and he wasn't there. I called his house and we talked for awhile. I asked him if he would come get me and take me to my truck, since I had no way to get their. He then ask me how I got to my house last night, if I didn't drive. I was really confused at this point. I looked out the window and sure enough their was my truck. He then tells me, he dropped me off at my truck and when he left I was passing out in the back. I must have woken up, still drunk and drove home. I honestly don't remember a moment of it and it was a learning experience. I no longer keep my keys with me, if I am sleeping it off in my vehicle. Besides I have learned you can still get a DUI charge that way. I now put my car into neutral, hop out and jam the drivers key under the tire. Then I push the vehicle just enough it rolls over the key. When I get up in the morning I just repeat the process and then pick up my key and go home. If the cops cannot find the drivers key on me, they cannot charge me with a DUI, because they cannot prove I drove there. It's a great trick! Plus if I try to drive home drunk, I will really have to work to get the key. lol

True story.
This one time when I was like two I was in a mall and I rubbed my eyes and thought about like instant travel home or something. I must have fallen asleep in those three seconds because the next thing I know I'm home. I was totally freaked out...
Why do I remember this?...

I have a friend who went to sleep in a gutter and was taken to a neighbouring town by the police. They found him, checked his driving licence and saw that he was from the neighbouring town, so they left him in a park there. Unfortunately he had recently moved to the town in which they found him but had not yet changed his address on his licence so he had to walk 20 kilometres home
