Firstly, you need to gather all your paperwork such as W2's, receipts for any expenses you may have if you are self-employed or if you are not reimbursed for your job expenses, and all other paperwork related to your occupation. You use Turbo Tax which I find is the best program because the program is designed for all situations and it asks you questions about any deductions, IRA's, income from your Forms W2's, 1098/1099'a, etc. If you cannot afford to buy Turbo Tax or if you want personalized help, you can go to a local IRS walk-in site.
