I think it is a wonderful way for me to pay for my education(and have TIME to study), support my kid, and yes have fun at work! Why it is such a bad thing?

It's not about today. It's about tomorrow. How old is your kid? Someday your kid will figure out what you did for a living. This puts you in an odd spot. There will be a picture somewhere of you doing what you do for a living. Eventually your kid will find it. All kids go through their parents stuff. A lot of it is the facination of figuring out the history of these parent figures, who have been around a long time before the kids arrived. I don't know what my parents were like before I was around, but some of their letters, correspondence, photos and stuff from back in the day shed some light on their past.

If you have a boy, this will signal to him that it is OK for women to sell their body in some form or another to pay the bills, and that women are nothing more than fun objects or toys. This will set him in the wrong path when he gets to an adult age. Do you want your son to only see his future girlfriend or wife as just a fun toy for sex and to make nachos during the football game or as a loving, caring, equal spouse, provider and parent? If you have a girl, this will send a very similar signal, that women cannot use their brains to accomplish things, that they are better off showing their bodies, that they are second-rate. She will get to the age where she is an adult and has to figure out what to do in life. Do you want your daughter to be the next Jenna Jameson or the next Dr. Sally Ride or Condoleezza Rice?

It is good that you have found something that pays your bills and hopefully lets you be a good student. But, the things today that we do which may seem insignificant or small can have large impacts at a future date, which we never can anticipate.

Their is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Most religious kooks would say otherwise, but that is only because it goes against their religion. Like I stated before, they are kooks and I wouldn't worry about them. You are better off not letting them influence your life, anyway. If you have a beautiful body and don't mind showing it, go for it. Make sure you dance at a place, that is reputable. That way you get treated the way you should. Some of the seedier places have rather lax rules and you would have to put up with alot of **** their. I personally wouldn't even visit those places. I have a friend who is drop dead gorgeous and she is paying her way through college and paying her bills the same way. Regardless of what some people might tell you, it doesn't lead to prostitution or drugs, if you don't let it. My friend has a rule, that she will not date or see anyone she has met in a club outside of work. This way she can stay professional and not put the idea in some guy's head that she will go out with him if they have enough money. Don't worry about the people that claim your children will see you in a bad light. They a wrong. My mom did some dancing when she was younger to support us and I don't see her as anything other than a loving mom, wanting to give us the best childhood she could and I have the utmost respect for women. If you don't raise your children to view it as wrong, they won't look at it that way. The only reason some children feel that way is because the parent hides it and makes it out to be something that is wrong. Don't let anyone tell you it is wrong or put you down for what you are thinking of doing. I say go for it, get your education, and don't let anyone hold you back.
EDIT
Just don't go and get huge fake boobs. That is disgusting. Small perky boobs are better any day!

I know a lot people can look down their nose at it but it if you enjoy it what's wrong in it?, you're not forcing it on anyone and running round the streets, a lot of people who frown probably haven't seen a stripper, the majority are educated independent and beautiful women.

Nothing. I have known women employed in professions that tehd to be frowned on by polite society but I have found them friendly and pleasant to talk to.

well basically (to my understanding),one should get a job that you can tell your kids, neighbours and family about with no feelings of inferiority.you should be proud of what you do and it should have a possitive effect on your kids.nothing in life is free, actually they should change that to nothing in life is cheap nowadays.so you should work hard on getting a good secure job rather than jumping on the easiest track.what you're getting (your pay) is only half of the reward,HOW you get it is the other half.

it dates back all the way to Adam and Eve,when they came down from Heaven to Earth and they found themselves with no clothing to cover them up and they quickly find anything (leaves etc.) to do so.it shows that we,humans have dignity and shyness that we should be proud off.if the very first father (Adam) and mother (Eve) went quickly on covering themselves up,i dont think we should be too quick on taking it all off.

Unfortunately, 90% of strippers are also cheap prostitutes. That is why. I say if you can do it, and make good money at it, why not.
