WHY do MEXICAN AND PHILIPPINE telenovelas have almost the same storyline?

I get sick watching telelnovelas, like its always about a POBRE(poor)girl who would get rich,or a muchacha who gets her revenge or has something to do with darker skin color for maids and MESTIZOS as the protagonist(the lead actor as well)...............

really its what the mexican and Philippine Telenovela storylines are almost all about.

Which is sickening........................

it's always about sex and cheesy dramatic things but it makes for great TV
