Nice job! 9/2 is the right answer

9/10 x 15/ 3 = 9/(2 x 5) x (3 x 5)/3 = (9 x 3 x 5) / (2 x 5 x 3).
The x 3 x 5 on the top and bottom cancel out so you have 9/2.

This doesn't always happen, so just multiplying across (9 x 15)/(10 x 3) and then simplifying from there is always a safer bet. But, if a "COMMON FACTOR", a factor that is seen in the numerator and denominator can be pulled out, it does save you time and simplify things quite a bit. But, like I said, this doesn't ALWAYS happen. =) NICE WORK!!

9/10 *15/3 =9/10*5 ~cancel common terms

Yes, 9/2 is correct.

9times15=135 and 10times3=30 which makes 135/30 which reduces to 9/2. Good job!
