Its not that I think he isn't deserving but come on...he shouldn't be in the pro bowl...He hasn't played a full season yet. I felt the same way about Rothlesburger as well. Look at him now. He had an awful year. Tony Romo has the potential to be good if he trains hard this off season and listens to any advise he gets from Drew Bledsoe.

Brett Farve isn't hyped up, if something, each and a week he's proving followers incorrect along with his age and how properly he nonetheless performs the interest. Tony Romo is a robust quarterback and Terrell Owens is a out of the undemanding and gifted huge receiver, he merely has a huge mouth that desires to be close greater.

He was definately overrated!! Yes his stats were decent...yes the Cowboys started winning when the change was made from Bledsoe....but was it really Romo?? It may have had a very little bit to do with it...but here is what I think.
First off, I think anyone is an improvement over Bledsoe...and when you look at the 11 games that Romo played...the Cowboys only went 6-5 with him at the helm (including the loss to Seattle in the Wildcard game).
Not a stellar record by any means...especially in the weaker NFC. AND...when you look at the six teams that he beat...only two of them were playoff teams...and one of those was the NY Giants (6th seed in NFC). The other playoff team that he beat was the Colts in wk 10...in the midst of a mid-season slide for Indy. The other four teams that he beat (Panthers, Cardinals, Bucs, and Falcons) were a combined 24w-40L on the season.

I don't want to keep dragging on, but one final point....who cost the Cowboys the Seattle game?? ROMO!!! Mishandled the hold...I don't blame the K-ball....they used it all game...no problems...7 FG's in the IND vs BAL game...no problems....but yeah...I guess that ball may have been the ONE slick ball...okay....sure

Romo had success against weak teams at the end of the year...teams had yet to see him play...I could go on and on all day.
I hate Romo...he isn't the next Tom Brady...he's the next one hit wonder in the NFL....if he starts for DAL next year...I predict the 'Boys finish no better than 6-10 w/ the six wins coming against inner-division foes WAS and NYG...with two other W's.
I rest my case....yes...you are right...Romo is/was overrated!!
;)

Overrated. No one really had any idea what he would do as a starter. The NFL adjusts quickly, so once teams had a "book" on what he'd do in a given situation, he was done.

Playing QB for the Dallas Cowboys guarantees you'll be hyped and hammered at the same time. He's a good backup quarterback, nothing more...

Overrated? Based on what, half a season. Everyone loves a winner and he has done his part to turn the Cowboys around. Who wouldn't be happy to see something new instead of Drews' excuses. On the half season he did a good job of turning lemons into lemonade. He distributed the ball well and was able hustle out of the pocket and make plays. That "is" what you expect out of a QB. I would have to see how he starts the next season and how he adjusts to being the "leader" for this team before I say he is a "QB God". Too early to tell, but I lean a little towards not overrated.

Well right now, the World of Romo is in total chaos. It's gonna take some serious therapy to get over that foul up. I think one of the reasons he got so much attention is because he is playing in one of the most populated cities in the U.S.

You are being too hard on this kid. This is his first year and he did well with a QB rating of 95 with 19 TDS and only 13 INTS. He learned a lot this year and Dallas will be pain in the butt yet again, dern it. Give him a break.

He is below average actually. He won a few games here and there, the team itself was not doing well and he gave them hope, false hope at best. Romo is average, plain and simple, he will never be a hall of famer, he just is.

well i think he is a little overrated only because so many people hyped him up so much and has failed in the clutch, they should have beaten seattle. i admit i was on the romo bandwagon, but i still think he is pretty good. it was just his first time as a full time starter so ill cut him some slack. its hard for a rookie QB to do well in the playoffs especially in crunch time.

He had those 3 games because the gameplan was to throw the ball to Terrell Owens. Since then Bill Parcel wanted to stick it to TO and be selfish, so Tony became too confidant and decided he wanted to try to be a better QB by not throwing it to TO.

He is overated because he has TO.
