Alright I was asking about STDs with a friend of mine and I had been worried about getting tested. I’m younger and I haven’t had but one sexual partner a few years ago. I’ve been meaning to get myself checked out and I just haven’t had any one to take me.

I feel like a moron asking this.. But my friend told me that a pap might comeback abnormal if you have an STD (HIV, Herpes, and such) I knew that this was the case for HPV but I would like to know if its also true for any STD..

Thank you for your time.

The pap smear can detect a variety of conditions, including herpes, yeast infections, bacterial infections, cancer and precancerous changes. HPV is the STD that has been linked to cervical cancer, which is why it is associated with pap smears. Talk with your doctor about being tested for other STD's, many of which will not be seen on your pap smear, such as chlamydia. If your pap smear is abnormal, your doctor should contact you to discuss the results and treatment options.

Pap smear can detect a lot of things besides STD. Abnormal pap smear can be a sign of a lot of things such as yeast infection, cancer etc. If your pap comes back abnormal, your provider will notify you to conduct further tests. Like others have already informed you, some STDs may not be detected through pap. If you suspect STD, ask your provider for a thorough test. Even if you've just had one partner, it's better to get tested. You know where you've been, but you don't know where your partner has been. It's better safe than sorry.

Yeah your pap might come back abnormal but usually when you get tested they also give you a blood test for other std's and stuff like that. It just depends on the disease. Don't worry too much its not a big deal. When I went i was going for something else but got the pap smear done its like a 5 min. procedure.

If you inform a man to assume a challenge in which each and every lady on this planet desires him, his first intuition goes to assume a global filled with hit females, proper? He may not instantly believe of a global full of grandmas, females he is not drawn to and a handful of truly hotties. The humorousness factor is way the equal method. The females are assuming the fellow is quite beautiful consistent with something their personal tastes are. Just just like the situation above, for those who push and ask "What if a four hundred pound, 50 12 months ancient man with extra nostril hair than hair on his head made you snort?" there's a well danger they're going to revise their opinion. In ordinary, there's a baseline of bodily beauty a man demands to have a shot with a lady. I do not imply Brad Pitt, I believe ninety nine.nine% of men are a few lady's style. "Being humorous" is extra approximately being a laugh to be round than exact get up comedian stage fabric. Lots of men believe they're hysterical, however their jokes are nasty and stale placing. They do not have a tendency to be fashionable with the females.

Pap Smears don't always pick up STDs and don't always pick up HPV.

That's why it is best to have blood tests and an HPV test to ensure you are disease free.
