I work nights so I travel to work late evening and return early morning and usually see loads of rabbits along the road side but this year I've only seen the odd one or two other people who take a different route say the same. Where have they all gone ,is the dreaded mitzi back again and killing them off.

I live right out in the country with fields all around me and at certain times of the year you see lots of rabbits then they disappear mainly winter time so they move into sheltered places or under ground. (Mixy) has been back in certain places so hopefully the population is being kept down so that they don't do to much damage. You will probably see them more in the spring when the weather warms up

I haven't seen rabbits for a long time now I do know that coyotes are killing them off. I don't let my cats out of the house because of this. Some people don't let their small dogs out either because there has been attacks on them also. I live in MA and coyotes have become a problem here.

In winter months rabbits usually spend 90% of their time below decks. The feed mainly on roots that push through the walls of the burrows.
Occaisionally a couple of rabbits will appear on top, to act as sentries and keep an eye on what is going on around them.
