My husband and I have been trying to conceive for two months and nothing so far. I know its still very early days but its starting to worry me. We are having a lot of sex and I am fairly certain of the time of the month that I ovualte so it seems weird that we haven't conceived yet. Just wondered how long it is taking the rest of you "ask" girls who are trying so far. Also does it take a while for the contraceptive pill to leave the system and its effects to wear off? I read that it doesn't take very long at all and some of my friends have concieved only a few months after stopping the pill.
ps: I had been on the seven days off each month pill for about 9 years without a break.

I stopped taking the pill in February of 2005, and I found out I was pregnant in July of 2005. It takes longer for some people than others, but as long as you're sure of your fertile days and you're having unprotected sex, you should be on the right track.

There's an excellent book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". I would highly recommend it.

Two months isn't very long. Our last child took 11 months to concieve, and that was with having sex every day of our fertile time. We were about to start fertility treatment, but went on holidays beforehand and, funnily enough, got pregnant!!! So, the point of my story is, relax, don't think babies, enjoy the sex and it will happen when you don't expect it. Good luck!!!
